Thank You to all that replied to my post. I did the trick with the odometer and it looks like it works on 07 model as well and now the light is off. I did the oil change as well to full synthetic, the only reason I waited till 5k is because that was what i was told by the dealer to help "break-in" the new motor, thanks again everyone! oh btw, the odometer had to be set on Trip A for that to work, wouldnt do it on the actual odometer only on the trip one.

ORIGINAL: 05cam

Does anyone know how to get certain things to work.. like before i removed the batter to replace a part my doors would lock when i put it in gear, and then unlock when i put it back in park. Now it only locks them and wont unlock them. Basically i reset the cars memory system. Theres gotta be away besides going to the dealer. Im guessing it has something to do with the alarm system?
If you're referring to the factory alarm system- the feature can be restored using the "customize" menu of the Toyota Techstream scan tool or the older Toyota Scantool. You'll be amazed at what other availablefeatures are customizable on your vehicle.

HI--05cam--what you describe, you can fix yourself. Do you have your owners manual?
There are instructions on how to set the locks to lock when you put in gear, and unlock when you place in park. It involves pressing the lock button a certain way, while you turn the key----and there will be a succession of blinking dashboard lights, to indicate. Your manual will tell you how to do this, and how many blinks will do what you want
