09 camry trans control module
I hear a lot of blah, blah that TCM's are/are not programmable, cannot be separated from original transmission etc., etc. I've got a transmission exhibiting random gear changes while driving. Anyone out there have real-world experience with these modules? Thanx.

What engine type V-6 or 4-cylinder?
This TCM has a self test diagnostic feature. Have you tried to read out any trans trouble codes?
This TCM can be reprogrammed. Toyota has in the past released service bulletins dealing with reflashing the TCM to attempt to solve shifting issues.
