Default 1992 camry 2.2 surging?

My camry has been running like a dream. New cv axles, new motor mounts and a few other things and it has been an awesome car. The only issue I have now is a slight surging I call it. When the car is warmed up good, you can be at a light and every once in a while, you feel a very slight "surge" but not a real big one. It is almost like when the fan comes on however, that isn't the case. I cleaned the iac and throttle body but I did notice it was still doing it. Could this be a simple fix? Yes, it only does it in gear at a light. When it is sitting and idling, it does not do it. When I am cruizing at 80 on the hwy, it rides like a dream.

Any help would be appreciated.

At a light as in trans in gear?

Does the tach RPM indication change?

Joey,
Yes, when I am at a light with foot on brake. It isn't a big surge but a slight one. The rpm's hardly move at all. I have also noticed this happens in reverse often as well but not always. When the car is in park or neutral it is as smooth running as a new car. Would this have anything to do with transmission?

***update***

Well, I am stumped. When I was out driving around this morning, it was doing it more often than ever before. I also noticed that the rpm's do move a bit but not much maybe 100-200. It does it a lot when car is in reverse now and often in drive when sitting still. I am so thinking it is a tranny problem but not certain. It would make sense if it was. The transmission shifts like new when driving so that puts a little doubt in my mind. UGH!!

FIXED!

The set of plug wires that were on the car were defective, so I went to NAPA and got a good quality set of wires and now the car runs and drives like a new one. I cannot believe that it was wires that caused all this.

Thanks y'all.
