1993 Camry Window/Door Lock failure
tonight I was working on my driver's side camry electric window regulator/motorand must have blown out something. I have done dozens and dozens of camry or corolla and honda regulators of this type and have never had this problem. All my fuses look fine. I have searched this forum no end for help but STILL cannot find a place that tell wich specific fuse or relay or fusible link is the one I need to really focus in on. Can anyone help on a 1993 Camry that had been working fine up until I took an intermittently working window motor regulator out, cleaned and sanded the armiture and brushes ( had replaced the brushes and armiture from a good passenger side motor to the drivers side but was still having intermittent problems that a hammer tap or slamming the door would temporarily fix)and put it all back together now I have no locks nor working windows in the whole car..............HELP! Thanks!
Do any of the other window windows and locks work from either the drivers control panel or individual door looks?
If banging the door helps try checking the wiring between the door and car chassis, often the wires break due to constant door usage and bending of the wire harness.

I bought a Haynes manual today that is not helping me at all. All I know is the power windows..ALL of them from all locations do not work, the power door locks, all of them from all location do not work ( all four doors and the main switch) and also the radio ( cd player ) does not work but the display on the radio/cd player does work, the lights all work, turn signals work car starts and runs fine and drives et al. All I can find in the Haynes manual in common on all three is the "M" relay..........well from the manual I cannot figure out where the M relay is. I have located what I think are all the fuse locations.........under the hood ( none of those seem to be relevant to this), the main one near the driver's left knee ( all of those are OK and NONE mention windows or door locks) and the passenger side kick panel which has one relay and a square green fusible link that I do not know what they do ( no labels)..........any ideas before I give up?
The start of all this was the driver's side window motor not working and my making it work by tapping it with a hammer ( I just recently replaced the main switch with a new one). I replaced the armiture and brushes with a the innards if a good motor from the passenger side front ( the brushes were almost non existent in the old one) and replaced and hooked up. I got maybe two inches of movement on the changed motor then all the stuff above stopped working. I figure it has to be a relaye or curcuit breaker or something I did but identifying them is impossible from the covers in the car itself and from the Haynes manual. Anybody experience this ever??

Perhaps in repairing the motor you pulled off the connection to the power window-lock console on the drivers door.
Both systems receive power from the Power Fuse and then through the Power Main Relay. The relay and fuse are located in separate fuse and relay boxes behind the drivers side instrument panel (behind ash tray).
These are 2 boxes are side by side behind the dash, one for fuses, the other for relays. Both systems also receive power from the Gauge fuse also located in same fuse box.
If you start digging into the system inside the door determine if the Blue wire (comes from Power Relay) is receiving power when the Ign switch is on.
Also the window and lock motors are controlled by reversing the direction of voltage polarity, the motor is not grounded to the chassis. The switches control the voltage polarity in the two wires going to the motors.
And each none driver side window motor and lock has a seperate source of power going to the individual switches. This allows these switch to work seperately from the drivers console. For the power window motors the wire color is Blue.
The power lock and window systems are built into the drivers console switch.
The radio receives power from two sources, Cig/Radio fuse (or something like this) and Dome fuse. Dome fuse is for the radio memory. If both the cig lighter and dome light work these fuses are OK.

Thank you so much for your help TOYO MOHO. I like your name BTW! But anyway I will look into all the suggestions you made probably Saturday. Unfortunately it is dark here now and tomorrow I have a funeral two hours away each way in Northern Va. So I will hit it again Saturday full force. I do know where you are talking about with all the relays BEHIND and to the right of the main fuse box near the driver's left knee area. I used a mirror to look behind there and found one plus in wire not hooked up but it looks like it might be for some option I do not have rather than having come unplugged because I searched and searched for the other half of the plug in and plus I have no idea how it would have ever come unplugged as much stuff as I had to remove to even get to it a see it ( panels, A/c ducts, etc.). Anyway thanks for much toyomoho........back at it Sat..........unfortunately it mean I will have to drive my truck up to the DC area tomorrow with all that stuff not working on the Camry ARGGHHH!! Thanks!
