I have a 1998 Camry LE 6 Cyl. with 58,000 mi.
It has a rough idle and acceleration, check engine and Trac Off light is on
Code indicates a misfire on 5
I have changed the spark plug and everything checks out fine with the wire. Any idea what might be the problem? Thanks, Dave

 

Do you have the exact code number?

Trac light may turn off when CEL comes on to lighten engine load.

Nope didn't get the exact code, just a reading from Autozone that read misfire on #5. I'm thinking I have a bad injector because if it were the fuel pump/filter wouldn't that cause the same problem in all 6 cyl.? Seems like replacing the injector myself might be a complicated because of all the stuff you have to remove to get to it. I'm open to ideas and opinions? What should I expect something like this to cost me?
