Hi everybody,
have a little problem i hope someone may be able to help with

i have a 2000 MCV20R V6 camry (Auto) 180.000kms and lately its developed a problem which is slowly becoming more frequent

ok the symptoms are
when you start the car, (either cold or warm engine)
starts ok but wont idle & stalls. if you start it with a touch of throttle and then hold it at 1000rpm it seems to run ok but if you take your foot off the throttle it will stall...
this only happens sometimes, started out as once a week or so and now its every few days
at one stage i noticed it blew a little black smoke out the exhaust whilst this problem was going on, (only the 1 time as far as i have seen )
not too keen on paying a mechanic to diagnose it at $$ if it may be something simple !!
any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated..
