Default 2001 camry - need struts

Hello everyone,

I’m planning to replace all 4 struts on my 2001 Camry I4.

I’m currently choosing between Monroe quick-strut, KYB Excel-G (Strut-Plus), or SACHS from RockAuto, looking for something closest to OEM ride quality and softness, comfort is more important to me than sporty handling(I mean, it's I4). Recently made the mistake of buying some cheap no name (A-Eagle) struts from Amazon and the ride became incredibly harsh.

Any experiences or recommendations between these brands? Which feels more like the original Toyota ride?

Don't know.

Monroe Quick Strut is known to cause the chassis to ride higher than the stock setup causing some complaints. If you are changing struts, suggest changing the strut only and reuse the spring.

All brands you list are supposed to supply Toyota.

Some state KYB is too harsh while others state the require breaking in for say 5K miles.

Might inquire at Toyotanation.com.

I KYB Excel-G on my 2005. Rides great and handles great. I bought them at AutoZone and had them installed and alignment done.
