I am using Toyota Camry 2007. I discovered when the car is in parking mode or in motion the hand break light will be on and off. Whenever the hand break light is on the speedometer will stop working. However, when the hand break light is off, the speedometer will starts working immediately. What is the problem and the consequences of this on the car? Thanks

 

Is the hand brake light coming on without applying the hand brake?

Does the car have ABS and if so is this light coming on?

 

Yes, the hand brake is coming on while in motion. The car has ABS and the light of ABS is always on when the engine is on.

 

Check for ABS trouble codes. Could be a bad ABS sensor. You will need an OBDII scanner that can read ABS codes.
