Warning light

Warning light
I have a 1992 Camry with 2.2 4cyl. There is a warning light on the dash on the left side of the tach. It is orange and looks like it may be something to do with the rear of the car. I don't have an owners manual and this light stays on all the time. Anyone know what this warning light could be? Thanks for any help...

RE: Warning light
Check your brake lights.I had to change mine last week,it took the light off of my dash.If you look at the light up icon closely, you will see that it shows lines coming from the tail lights, indicating that they are lit up.

RE: Warning light
I will check the brake lights this weekend, also on a side note i am tinting the windows this weekend too. Can't wait to have some shade. Thanks for the response... I will post again if that did not fix the warning light.

RE: Warning light
The third brake light bulb was out, but when replaced the warning light is still on. I did notice that the light comes on when I touch the brake pedal after starting up. Maybe I have a rear brake problem. Is this indicative of the warning light?

RE: Warning light
That is possible, but it could just be a short. There is a "brake" icon that lights up when your e-brake is pulled, and I'm pretty sure if anything with the brakes is wrong, then that light would come on,but I could be wrong.

RE: Warning light
That warning light is only for tail and brake lights, not for the brakes themselves. One of your taillights may be out as well. On a '92, it will light even if one of the tiny red side marker lights is out, or perhaps one of the lights on the trunklid.
