Revs and jerks hard when put into reverse

May or may not help. On my 1995 Camry LE one day sped up on its own in drive. Turned off car went to side and got home luckily with no issues. Upon inspection wire for throttle was very dirty and jamming. Cleaned up worked fine.

that would be an easy fix. But I already took that off and cleaned it all up including linkage when I did the tune up. Just a bit bummed I need to take the top end of engine off again. The wife won’t be too happy. Haha

I understand totally. Working on my 1995 when I have time. Not easy but I like that old car. Good folks on site to help.
I am always learning something new the more challenging the project, Good luck. Keep us posted.

thanks man. Def a good group here. Like working on the older cars, too. Just finding the time is getting harder to do. The parts should be here mid week just in time for the rain. Think I’ll start tearing it apart today to get a jump on the weather. I’ll keep you posted. 🤞🏻
