Troubles reviving the old Camry-sputtering
As I mentioned in my introduction thread, our 1985 Camry 4 dr LE with the 2.0 and manual trans ( 163,000 mi) has returned to us after an 11 year absence and I'm having some trouble getting it to run correctly.
I've cleaned the old fuel completely out of the entire system, replaced the fuel filter and installed new injectors. I've Replaced the spark plugs and wires and replaced all the (many) fuel and vacuum hose's under the hood and at the tank; and installed a new fuel pump after cleaning the fuel tank.
The engine has good compression and spark but only when I fully advance the the distributor will it sputter to life and slowly accelerate, and the fuel pump will only engage when I jump it with a hotwire. I have traced the fuel power supply wire from fuse box to the to back and can find no fault, no blown fuse. If I energize it at the test terminal it activates but only as long as it has external power.
I checked the distributor position with No. 1 cylinder and it looks in order to be in the correct timing position.
At this point I'm a bit stumped. Any experience resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

So much for my 'no hassle comment' on your other post, lol.
It sounds like you have done a lot of the things that I would have done as well.
The wiring issues are going to be a pain and I suspect rodents have had something to do with it. I can only recommend checking grounds and patience as you peck along.
How does the timing belt look? Could it have jumped a tooth?

The belt and the water pump look to have been replaced by the former owner.
As I'm in Phoenix, high temp's and time have made many of the wires brittle. I have addressed the most obvious crunchy one's and checked voltage at the injectors and TPS.
