Default Camry 2009
My headlights are dim. Only bright ones are the high beam lites. Replaced two bulbs and cleaned lenses, Still dim. Anyone know what could be wrong? I checked around for ground problems but didnt see anything obvious.

Check the voltages at the bulb socket terminals.

Make sure the lights are not in daytime running light mode if the car is so equipped.

Thanks Toyomoto...I will check on the voltage...i just bought the car so i dont know if it has daytime running mode or not. How do i find out?

Start engine.

Have someone apply the emergency brake on/off while you watch the headlights. If the car has running lights they turn on/off with emergency brake off/on action.
