Lost the head gasket, valve guides had already been blowing a lot of oil by...running hot finished the cylinder head off. Got the new head, rings, rod bearings, oil pump, water pump, etc... in. Just trying to get a couple of days off to fix the thing.

Sorry to hear that I do burn a lot of oil which concerns me but I will drive it till I break it then do what you are doing. Good luck what is the milage you had on the car when this happened to the motor?
