Smile My 2011 XLE has leak in trunk possibly on passenger side

Recently my daughter had a terrible smell in her 2011 XLE Camry she couldn't find until one day she got in the trunk and found water standing in the lower spare tire and jack area! Since that time we have dried it out and tried to locate where its coming in and we feel like its coming in on passenger side of the trunk. The post I have read say it could be the taillight seals may be the issue. I wanted to reach out to anyone who my have experienced this in a recent timesand see what information i can find. IF you can give me anything to go on it would be greatly appreciated!!

Might be running down the back window to the front of a bad trunk seal.

Older cars had the main spare tire well and a smaller well on each side of it adjacent to inside of the rear fender. Not sure about newer cars. If these side wells are present check for water especially in the drivers side..

My daughter called me (she now lives 4 hours south of me) and said, "Dad I think we figured out where the water is coming in the trunk!" she went on to say the sunroof drain tubes comes down through the trunk and goes to a drain hole and it had came out and was laying inside the trunk. Hopefully this was the problem the whole time!
