Results
Done and no leaks yet.
I have it back together and test drove to work which is highway with nice bumps (40 miles). When I fill the tank will be another test although tank is 90% full. A few weeks of driving and I will be satisfied.
Notes
1. Always cuts old hoses when removing. I pulled the flexible vent hose off from the tank and the nipple to the gas tank broke off. It may of been rusty. Has to buy a SS pipe smaller than what remains of the nipple that broke off and insert it inside. It was a nice tight fit. I also had a flange made on the end. Used JB Weld for fuel to seal.
2. The frame in the left rear was slightly out of alignment due to minor damage. This may of made it hard to line up the filler pipe brackets and hoses but not too bad. The filler pipe may also not be built to the exact oem but not sure and also caused this problem.
3. The plastic ring at filler top was not glued together well. Used JB weld for plastics. and tie wrap rather than return whole thing to Rock Auto.
4. There is a bolt that goes through a bracket into frame that holds filler pipe in place. Bolt broke off so to get another bolt in there opened up the rail about 1 x 1(dremel) inch and fished in a bolt. Put in a lock washer and bolt on. All SS in case I need to remove tank someday.
As usual you try and plan and think it will not be too hard and it just takes longer. What took long is the higher quality JB welds required 3-4 hrs set tome and 15-16 hrs cure time. Others are faster but lower strength. Example 4000 vs 1000 tensile strength. Worth the wait. The product is also more expensive.
