First off. The car is a 96, 1mzfe
Car wont rev past 2000, will stall and die.
Replaced:
New fuel pump
New fuel filter
New spark plugs
Used tps
Used fpr
Used cps
Checked for vacuum leaks
Has a steady idle but when press on gas will slowly rev and die. Un did exhaust before cat thinking it was clogged same thing.
Check engine light is on.
Bought 2 scanners, both would turn on but no signal from ecu.
Bit the bullet and bought a scanner for obd1 and 2
Turns on, still no link.
Whats going on?
Bad ecu?

Could be bad ECU.
Check OBD fuse 7.5A.
On ODBII plug following:
Check #16 terminal for 12v power at all times. This is a black wire.
#4 wire is grounded, white/black.
#5 is wire shielding wire, brown.
#7 is signal wire from ECU, white.
With OBD plug oriented facing you, and the wider part of the trapezoid connector on the bottom, the orientation is.
16 to 8 Top
7 to 1 Bottom
The plug only uses 4 terminals.
