2003 Camry .. When the light flashes the A/C will not work .I turn it off and back on and it is okfor a while and it starts again . My two rad fans are on almost all of the time but the engine is not overheating

 

The A/C compressor magnetic clutch relay is could be defective.

Old relay P/N 90987-02022. Check fuse/relay box in engine compartment next to battery.

New replacement relay P/N 90987-02028.

The relay was a common problem, an internet search will find lots of hits.

It is possible the problem can be something else but check the relay first.

Also check cabin air filter condition. Located under the dash above heater blower owners manual should have info.

 

Hi Gabe. My '03 did the same thing for the first time yesterday. I don't know where you live, but out here on Long Island, NY we had a torrential downpour and roads flooded instantly. I happened to be driving through lots of water when my AC light flickered and it became swampy inside the car. I suppose wiring got wet underneath as it was fine once she dried out.
