Default '94 camry engine problems

Hi, got a 94 with a 2.2 auto. Almost spun a rod back in July. Motor was idling and siezed up. Replaced crank, rod and main bearings. It still has a clunking??? Sort of sound coming from the bottom end. I may have mixed up endcaps on rods. Could that be the issue? Any help would be great. Thanks.

Mixing rod bearing caps is not good.

Does the clunk noise become louder with engine loading?

Did you put the balance shaft system back together correctly?

If lifter noise, a tap or clunk.

Us a section of hose as a stethoscope to narrow down the area in addition to being in the lower end such as front or back of engine, etc.
