engine runs rough between 800 and 1200 rpms. good even compression,new head and gasket, code p1210, 4 cyl. erratic idle. random multiple misfire,misfir cylinder 3. replaced coil and no change,new plugs,wires. i know the timing is right.what can it be? no info on code p1210.

 

also gas smell when setting overnite in garage very strong

 

That's not something to play with. Take the care back to fixed it last. A fuel leak results are not good

 

P1210 Injector Control Pressure Above Expected Level. Not sure this engine has injector pressure monitoring. The code is listed but not for this year of car/engine.

Are you getting random misfire trouble codes?

Did the engine ever run correctly after the head work?

Try to run down the source of the gas smell. The engine should be sealed except for the intake manifold.

Check under the car in front of the fuel tank for leaks, this is where the EVAP system is.
