camry alternator pulley Q
I'm replacing the alternator on my 92 Camry. The new one has six grooves on the pulley instead of the existing five. Can I just swap pulleys or have I got the wrong part (advertised as five grooves.)? Thanks.

Swapping pulleys on alts to get the correct one is common.
If the old pulley bolts up to the new alt and the alt installs OK, should be fine.
However make sure the new installed pulley still lines up with the belt.
