Can you help? Power window question
I had a problem with a 91 camry drivers side window.I thought the problem was in the switch bought one at a bone yard for about $20 and when installed it found out the window still did not work.On further inspection I foun that if I put juice directly to the switch it worked. So I realized my wire feeding the switch was broke in the area where it comes thru the engine compartment into the doorjam.I guess from all the opening and closing over the years it broke the wire. You could say I fixed with no cost except the switch I needlessly bought and it's been working a couple of years now.Now I have to figure out why my cruise control stopped working and how to lower my hydrocarbon emmissions.Have A nice Day
I've ran into that same exact problem with my 93 camry. right where the rubber goes around the wiring to protect it where it goes from inside the door to the inside of the car by the drivers kick panel the wires break from flexing over and over exactly like you said. with me it was both speaker wires and one of the wires for the power door locks that broke.
