Fuel pump
#2
Was there ever a time period when the pump lasted a LOT longer?
Are you sure all the pumps are bad as in there is an electrical or other issue?
How many pumps have failed?
The pump is cooled by fuel. How was the pump filter screen and inlet? A plugged up screen/inlet can overheat the pump. Running low on fuel can overheat the pump.
If having a fuel pressure gauge check the pressure.
Do a fuel output test at the furthest point possible on the fuel system to check for a clogged lines.
Make sure the pump is getting battery voltage plus under load and draws 3-5 amps. Check the ground wire of the pump for access resistance. Check for corroded wiring harness connectors.
If you have an old pump, take it apart to try to determine what area of the pump failed.
