Gotta be honest, I have never heard of cleaning ECU harness. Do they claim things are corroded? Like your battery terminals?

 

Might be corrosion or such. The engine heat causing issues with the connection. Had some strange electrical issues due to heat!!

Get cold spray to cool the hot ECU down or a hair dryer to try to simulate the engine temp at the ECU then see what happens.
