While checking for oil leaks on my 2000 Toyota Camry 5SFE, I found a hole where it looks like a bolt is missing. I took a picture of it and went to the local Toyota parts department where I was told they could order the bolt and that it held a bracket in place. When I look at it I can see no bracket or anything beside the hole.
I am attaching the photo in hopes that someone here recognizes what it is and can help me determine if I need a bolt there...
You can see it is next to the power steering pump.
I'm not sure what you are asking. What does 'having eye' mean? The photo is a shot from above the passenger side looking down onto the power steering pump pulley. You can see the hole behind it. My question is what is that hole? If a bolt goes there, what does it hold? Are there parts missing from my car?
If you know then please respond...
Aye, that may be it... I will get the bolt from Toyota and see if it fits. It seems that someone didn't replace it. I have never changed the pump and have had the car for 9 years.
