Loose steering

my 93 camry xle has really loose steering and i was thinking the power steering pump mite be going out. Dose anyone know what it mite be?

did you check to make sure the fluid it up to the minimum?

If you have not found the problem you should check the tierod ends they can cause allot of slop and its dangerous. The other thing is the drag link same as tierod ends if its worn bad news you coukd crash. Now the other thing you have a stearing ram which can ware and cause slop. One more thing I am not sure on Toyotas but on top of the front struts or shocks as some call them are bearings one on each side. They ware out and slop comes with ware. So the car is 16 years old you should think about doing the whole front end both tierod ends,drag link bearings all of it. You can do it in a day if you are a half good wrench. rent a splitter from Autozone a fork which you can drive in and pop the tierod ends apart it will also do one end of the drag link. See the help manual at Autozone and check for parts under front suspencion.

I just went to Autozone and they have all your info in the repair manual section stearing knuckel to struts check it out.
